Individual Instructional Camps:

In addition to summer team camps, tournaments and any recruiting camps/clinics/showcases players are attending, all of our players should consider and plan to attend at least one instructional camp each summer. By providing general and/or specific instruction, fundamental skills and techniques for various positions, instructional camps assist in the complete fundamental growth and overall development of each player's individual "game". Although many camps are general instructional camps, they are typically broken down by position to provide specific instruction including; individual, small and large group work.

 

For instance:

Player A, wants to improve his overall lacrosse IQ and general skills; highly suggest attending a general instructional camp designed to provide overall generalized instruction on the many facets of the game for each position.

 

Player B, wants to improve shooting-scoring skills; highly suggest attending an instructional camp designed to assist with his shooting/scoring skills, techniques and development.

 

Player C, wants to improve his close defense skills; highly suggest attending an instructional attack-defense challenge camp designed to compete vs attackmen and assist in his defensive fundamental skills, techniques and development.

Overview:

 

The Princeton Lacrosse Camps are designed for players entering grades 3 to 11 in the Fall of 2019. Instruction and coaching will be geared to the ability and talents of each individual camper. The camp curriculum is designed to improve fundamental skills and techniques while advancing the players' understanding of game concepts and team play. This camp can also serve as an in depth introduction for all those rising freshman and sophomore lacrosse players that may have a future interest in playing at the college level. We encourage all those rising into their freshman and sophomore years of high school to attend camp and learn as much as they can about Princeton University and our program's approach to playing hardworking fundamental lacrosse! At the overnight camp all players will be challenged to reach their highest potential by an outstanding staff of college coaches, high school coaches and the best college players from all over the country.

• Teaching forum for young student athletes interested in Princeton University to get a great feel for our campus and lacrosse curriculum.
• One-on-one instruction to full-scale games.

This unique camp offers advanced instruction in position specific fundamentals. Goalies, Defensemen, LSMs, Midfielders, and Attackmen will all benefit from college level position specific instruction. The camp is designed to create a fun-filled experience with a focus on teaching the fundamentals of lacrosse. The camp is perfect for every experience level and participants can stay as an overnight camper or attend as a day camper.

 

Individual Instruction:
Each camper will receive one-on-one individual instruction during camp from one of the camp counselors. This gives campers a great opportunity to develop their personal skills.

 

Speed Improvement/Strength Training:
Time will be spent developing each camper's lacrosse skills along with sessions on speed improvement and strength training. A member of the Washington College Physical Education Department will lead all sessions involving speed improvement and strength training.
