The Westfield Bulldogs are members of the Virginia High School League (VHSL) and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS): Northern Region and Concorde District.

Located in Chantilly, VA, Westfield High School opened its doors in September of 2000 as the 24th high school in Fairfax County. Recognized for its award winning design and located on a 159-acre site in Chantilly, the building promotes a safe and creative learning environment for students and faculty, and encourages community involvement. Westfield offers a rigorous academic program and is an Honors high school. Advanced computer technology and equipment enhance the academic program. Special features include a photography lab, a fully equipped TV studio, four separate computer labs and a publications lab. Students are encouraged to choose from a comprehensive array of extra- and co-curricular activities. Numerous clubs are available for students to explore academic and recreational interests providing a sense of community within the student body.

Westfield PRIDE: a new character ed. campaign that identifies a set of common core values that are representative of feedback from students, staff and parents (ex. Surveys). Promotional ideas include banners, magnets, signs, PRIDE lesson plans for teachers, PowerPoint presentations, website promotion and committee work just to name a few.

P = personal responsibility (understanding the impact that your behavior has on other students, teachers, staff, parents, community, etc.) and accepting responsibility for your behavior at school, at home and in the community.

R = respect- for self, others and property. Examples: cleaning up after yourself in the cafeteria, tolerance for and acceptance of others; their beliefs and backgrounds, appropriate language, dress and behavior, respecting the school- no vandalism, no defacing school property, etc.

I = integrity- truthfulness, honesty. Examples: avoid cheating, plagiarism, misrepresentation, calling yourself in sick, sportsmanship, etc.

D = discipline- demonstrating self-discipline, work ethic, good sportsmanship, etc. at school, at home, in the community, on and off the playing fields and courts, on and off the stages.

E = empathy- identifying with and/or understanding the feelings, thoughts or attitudes of others. Bullying and harassing behavior will not be tolerated.
