FCPS has updated the following guidance that will take effect March 1, 2022 regarding masks :

CDC has provided new guidance on how to measure transmission rates. Based on the updated approach FCPS currently falls into a low transmission rate.

*Masks are now optional for students in schools and on FCPS buses and vans (athletic trips included)
*Masks are now optional for all staff in schools and offices and on FCPS buses and Vans
 
Students may continue to wear masks should they choose. Additionally no student is to be separated out for wearing or not wearing a mask. This is subject to change.
